Specialty Teams

Wallowa County Search and Rescue maintains teams of volunteers with specialized training and equipment to operate in environments that present additional challenges during search and rescue operations. Members of specialty teams often receive certifications unique to their area of expertise which ensures safe operations in challenging conditions. Specialty teams are a necessity in the rugged terrain and vast backcountry of Wallowa County. Some operations require multiple specialty teams to work in tandem to find and extract victims.
